Kukkiwon 7th Dan Black Belt
Grand Master Seungok Choi, a Kukkiwon 7th Dan Black Belt, began practicing Taekwondo in South Korea at a young age and has dedicated more than 50 years of her life to the art. In 1982, she met her husband through Taekwondo, and together they opened a Taekwondo school in South Korea, where they trained countless students and helped develop many skilled martial artists.
In the 1990s, Grand Master Choi earned multiple officiating certifications, including her International Referee license. She participated in numerous competitions in different countries, contributing to the global growth and professionalism of Taekwondo.
She also served for nearly 20 years as the Vice Chairman of the Competition Records Committee for the Korea Taekwondo Association, playing an important leadership role in supporting the development of Taekwondo and mentoring the next generation of practitioners.
With over four decades of experience as an instructor, leader, and referee, Grand Master Choi continues to share the values of traditional Taekwondo—discipline, respect, perseverance, and strong character—with students of all ages.

Kukkiwon 6th Dan Black Belt
Master Seewon Jung holds a Kukkiwon 6th Dan Black Belt and has been immersed in Taekwondo since the age of four, training under the guidance of her mother, Grand Master Choi. Raised in a Taekwondo family, martial arts was not just an activity but a way of life that shaped her discipline, character, and passion for teaching.
During her youth in South Korea, Master Jung excelled as a competitive athlete, earning top placements in both poomsae and sparring at regional and national levels. She was honored as a City Representative athlete in both divisions — a testament to her skill, dedication, and competitive spirit.
After relocating to the United States, Master Jung devoted herself to teaching, working as an instructor across multiple states. This experience gave her a deep understanding of diverse teaching methods, school operations, and how to connect with students from all backgrounds and skill levels.
With over 15 years of hands-on teaching experience — including community youth programs and regional Taekwondo initiatives — Master Jung has helped hundreds of young students develop confidence, focus, and respect through martial arts.
At J Taekwondo, Master Jung leads daily classes with energy, patience, and a genuine commitment to every student's growth. She believes that Taekwondo is more than kicks and forms — it is a path to building strong character, lasting discipline, and self-confidence that extends far beyond the dojang.
